French lesson recordings, in order. Each lesson offers two versions, side by side: one with selectable subtitles you turn on yourself, and one with subtitles burned into the picture (always visible, no setup). Progress is remembered on this browser automatically — watching a video to the end (in either version) marks it as watched even if you never press a button.
The "Selectable subtitles" video has no captions turned on by default. Hover or tap the player, then look for a small CC or speech-bubble icon in its control bar (usually bottom-right, near the settings gear). Click it to open a list of available subtitle tracks — French, English, English + French, or Off — and pick one. This works in current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari without any extra software, since it uses the browser's own built-in subtitle support. If your browser doesn't show that icon, use the "Burned-in subtitles" video next to it instead — those captions are part of the video image itself and always show.
